Millie at work

Posted on June 15, 2025

My morning rounds always include Millie.

Each morning begins — after breakfast and coffee of course — at the gate. The parking area behind the swimming lagoon is closed each evening at sundown. Which means the gate must be opened mornings.

Once done with the padlocks, we empty a couple of garbage cans and scout for litter… all of which Millie observes with calm detachment. She knows with absolute certainty she’ll get another outing when we close the gate at day’s end.

Thanks. Babs. (P.S.: Neither Millie nor I worked very hard that morning.)
