Images worth remembering

Posted on October 20, 2024

Today, Sunday, marks the end of our final weekend at Willow Bay. When we head south Saturday, I will have spent 14 of my last 19 months here, site 2, Willow Bay Campground, beside Allegheny Reservoir.

We’ve done the tourist stuff and loved every minute.

Best of all… the friends. Bradleys, Manguses, Piganellis, Zaccardos, O’Rourkes, Cobbs, Haydens, Skolniks, Smiths, Hickses, and more. Certainly, I’ve come to enjoy conversations with my employer, Ed Prince.

As I made my rounds today, Mother Nature did her best to remind me how much I’ve come to appreciate this northwestern corner of Pennsylvania.

Next summer we’ll spend beside the Columbia River in arid north central Washington, surrounded by apple trees, cherry orchards and vineyards.

For now, though…

To quote Louise Penney – an author introduced to me by you, Bill – “The trees at the top of the mountain were changing color. It was autumn up there already. Soon the reds and the auburns and the pumpkin oranges would march down the slopes until the entire forest was ablaze.” Thank you for the introduction.

Lovely pictures, especially the foggy lake.

A boat with two fishing people disappeared into that fog… I assume they surfaced safely somewhere.

She’s such a nice read and, certainly in this case, right on.

We’ll certainly start in Texas. Holidays, etc. Beyond that…

Gotta look at a map to see where you are going. Spent almost 2 years in WA. If you are near the place I was, I am so envious.

If i recall correctly, you were in the Richland-Pasco-Kennewick area. We will be north of there, in tiny Bridgeport, between Okenagon and Wenatchee.

Right. You will be almost due north, almost across the state. Hope you like it as well as I liked Kennewick.
