Winter at Caddo Lake State Park

Posted on January 15, 2024January 15, 2024

With temperatures in the teens, Caddo Lake State Park is closed to campers… icy roads and steep hills would preclude any emergency vehicles in or out. And, freezing precip always threatens power lines and outages.

But reminders of warmer weather linger between the Bald Cypress that line the waterfront.

Today, there are three RVs in the park… mine and two other hosts. Millie loves the emptiness; she can run off-leash.
