Made in Bradford PA

Posted on June 15, 2023

Every Zippo lighter every made is and has been manufacrured in Bradford, PA. Likewise, every Case knife — W.R. Case & Sons is now owned by Zippo — has been manufactured here. The Zippo/Case museum tells the story of George Blaisdell and his Zippo design. Lighters from every decade, including the original, are on display. During WWII, the US government bought Zippo lighters in lots of 500,000 to a million and sold them in PX stores around the world. And Zippo donated tens of thousands to GIs in Europe and the Pacific.

Zippos are all but indestructible. And if one does get run over by an army tank or your 3/4-ton pick-up, Zippo will repair it for free.

Case knives have been manufactured in this area since 1889. Beautiful cutlery and half the Zippo/Case museum.

What’s the difference between a ‘hippo’ and a ‘Zippo’? One is big & heavy, and the other is a little lighter.

I missed this post during the power outage. Very cool. That is one fancy folding fork, friend.
