… as Jethro Bodine would have said.
Not all days feel like I’ve landed in paradise. Today was one of those.
We’re short-handed by one. That leaves three. Two were out, working at other company-managed campgrounds. That leaves one. Me.
Even in my state of extreme fatigue, I have to ask: Have I told you how striking these Red-winged Blackbirds are? Did I tell you you can hear the Osprey chicks in their nest if you stand quietly at the edge of the lake from which their parent will collect breakfast? Did I remind you what a shame it is that Goldfinch aren’t to be found in East Texas?
Guess it’s pretty silly to say (or even think) every single time read your blog, Dang, I envy you.
I remember Redwings –from Oklahoma – and Ospreys – from Arizona. (Never heard Osprey chicks, though!)
“… and you will know peace …”
