What a day

Posted on April 3, 2023

I got my company hoodie, five company tee shirts, a company cap and a key to my golf cart/carryall.

The cart has a bed on the back like a tiny pickup… gives me a place to carry supplies when I go off to clean restrooms and pick up litter. 🙂

Millie’s adapting — begrudgingly — to life in a golf cart but she gets to spend time off leash and she loves that.

The job is more complex than I expected. In addition to  managing camp sites, I’ll be monitoring fresh water and waste water quality. It will be, as we said 50 years ago, a trip.

The boss and I are still trying to decide whether I’m a 20-hour employee or 30.

All in all, a beautiful and productive day. I’m ready for bed.

You’ll know everyone there in a week. It got oh so close to 90 degrees (!) here today. I put the bike windshield in the lower position for the first time in months today. Glad Millie is adjusting. I continue to enjoy your posts.

So good to hear my friend! This is gonna be great. You didn’t tell me about the hat & golf cart. And you get to use your scientific skills. Go for the 30!

They’re lucky to have you. We miss ya already. (p.s. A word of advise; if taste testing is a part of the water monitoring, we recommend you take special care to not mix up the samples.)
