Pronghorn country

Posted on March 27, 2025

Pronghorn abound (and bound) in Converse County, Wyoming. It’s also still chilly season… 27f in Douglas this morning.

Tonight, we’re in Hardin, Montana. today’s drive offered our first real look at the mountains — here, the Bighorns near Buffalo, Wyoming… a beautiful reminder we’re nearing our destination in Washington.

We barreled right by the park dedicated to Custer’s Little Bighorn demise… I’ve been twice and Michele was less than enthused.

The constant on this trip has been the desiccating wind; no rain so far.

I remember how excited you and Bert always were at the first view of mountains when we traveled to Colorado. Even more intense was your reaction as the mountain slipped from view as we drove back to Texas.
