Tonight from Deer Lodge, Montana, a cute, small town built around this state’s version of Huntsville, Texas’ walls unit…
Like all good campers, we have one of those woven-plastic mats that, if nothing else, defines the front yard when we’re camped. It also traps some of the dirt the dogs would otherwise tack into the trailer. When we remove ours from the box — it’s new; the last one made it through two summers — it will cover 108 square feet of soil that will remain outside.
So, we’ve decided it’s time to stop driving and unpack the new mat. With that in mind, we’ve chosen to forego an Idaho night, push on to Bridgeport tomorrow… 400(!) miles in a single day. Not much for most mobile adults, but we’re RVers.
We’ve sliced a day off our schedule and will separate truck from trailer at Site 19, Bridgeport, WA, Marina RV Park before dark tomorrow. And finally unbox our 9 x 12 outdoor carpet.
