Bully Hill Vineyards

Posted on October 6, 2024

That’s Michele, headed for the tasting room at Bully Hill Vineyards.

Bully Hill was started by Walter Taylor, grandson of the founder of Taylor Wines, on a hill beside Keuka Lake in New York’s Finger Lakes region. Following the sale of Taylor wines to the Coca Cola Company — and as the result of an ensuing lawsuit — Walter was enjoined from referring to Taylor in any fashion. Walter’s surname is conspicuously redacted on the label of at least one of the vineyard’s varietals.

The wines we tasted are quite good… we came home with a semi-sweet red. The restaurant offered excellent food in a stunning setting overlooking Lake Keuka.
