Music on a pleasant summer night is a treat.
Don McLean, in his early 70s mega-hit asked “can music save your mortal soul?” I’m gonna say “no.” But music on a warm summer night, surrounded by my friends, the Piganellis, and their pals comes close to filling this soul.
Dark Water Duo, a talented pair from Bradford, enlivened Willow Bay Recreation Area on this, the last really-big weekend of the camping season. The tunes were terrific, the atmosphere collegial, the crowd orderly and the night air delightfully temperate.
The best part, though, as always, was the embracing smile of friends.
We are going to miss you so much, Bill!!! Love you and Millie.
Your family has been terrific! Surely you’ll be out here before Oct. 31…
BTW, good to see you out doing real work today. š

That is a nice photo. It is inviting and Iām sure the glow , the music, and smiling faces made the evening special. Temp in Boise tonight is 68. What a nice change! Iām ready for fall temps at home.
It really was a pleasant night. Warm-ish, no rain, campfires, good people.
Boise is a nifty little city. I’ve ridden through a couple if times. Nice little pizza place downtown called The Pie Hole.
